10 days volunteering at CIMEI
CIMEI (Invasive species, and pets control center) is a non profit organization financed by National Park, municipality and other organizations, whose aim is to control pets (sterilization; counseling about animal caring) so they do not become a threat to endemic species. Their mission is also to eradicate in a long term rats, mice, and other species that cannot live on the island.
Day 1: (Wednesday)
Arrival on San Cristobal island. Transfer to port, lunch. Installation in your host family. Afternoon visit of the Interpretation Center and tour of orientation of the town, and CIMEI offices. Meals included: -/L/-

Day 2: (Thursday)
Today you’ll begin your activities in the CIMEI – work with the local vets and coordinators. Meals included: B/L/-
Day 3: (Friday)
Work in CIMEI. Meals included: B/L/-
Day 4: (Saturday)
Today we’ll have a great snorkel trip at Lobos Island and Kicker Rock: departure at 9AM and back at 3PM (boxed lunch & snorkel gear included). We’ll be able to swim with sea lions, turtles, rays and maybe reef sharks. Meals included: B/L/-
Day 5: (Sunday)
Free day: you’ll have bikes & snorkel gear. Meals included: B/L/-
Day 6: (Monday)
Work in CIMEI. Meals included: B/L/-
Day 7: (Tuesday)
Work in CIMEI. Meals included: B/L/-
Day 8: (Wednesday)
Work in CIMEI. Meals included: B/L/-
Day 9: (Thursday)
Transfer out to airport – or optional you can take our 4 day tour to the Galapagos Island (San Cristobal – Floreana – Isabela – Santa Cruz)
